My passion is travelling and dentistry. Experiencing new culture and working in a totally different healthcare system fascinates me. So why don’t I connect both? My inspiration comes from my experience in Sri Lanka where i did a study for my doctorial thesis. My goal is to serve rural communities in different parts of the world. I feel rewarding by aiding underserved communities and helping people with the skills I have is wonderful. This might be the beginning of my lifelong dream to work for the global health.
I will be travelling with a non-profit organisation called GDCI e.V., who have organised the dental camp in a hospital in Chennai. This project is aimed at schoolchildren aged between 4 and 16 years. We received a generous donation from Hu-Friedy, M+W Dental, Transcodent and Praxis Dr. Herold & Kollegen.
My flight is from Duesseldorf Airport tomorrow and I will be landing in Chennai on Friday evening. I am looking forward to the trip and I will try to keep you updated!!
Fingers crossed!!! 🙂
